Delores Ann Burgess

Mrs. Delores Ann Burgess (Green) or "Dee” as she was known to many, departed peacefully in the loving arms of her devoted family members at Stamford Hospital on April 27, 2015 in Stamford, CT at the age of 69.

Delores is survived by her husband of 36 years Alfonzo Burgess, of Stamford, CT, her two sons Paul J. Fisher of Houston, TX and Daryl M. Fisher of Stratford, CT, her siblings Jonathan W. Green of NYC and Phyllis Green of Stamford, CT, and her three grandchildren Jessica C. Fisher, Grayson A. Fisher and Sylvan K. Fisher. She is predeceased by her parents John Green and Lottie (Twine) Green, both of Greenwich, CT.

Delores was born on December 30, 1945 in Greenwich, CT. In 1989, she and her husband moved to Stamford, CT where she remained until her passing. For 28 years, Delores worked as an Art Coordinator for Chesebrough-Pond's, Inc. and retired shortly after the company’s acquisition by Unilever in 2004. Thought of as a second mother to many, Delores will always be remembered as a kind soul who often put the needs of others ahead of her own. She will be sorely missed. “I love you as big as the sky. I love you as big as the universe…” is a phrase that will surely ring out in the hearts of those closest to her each and every time she is remembered.

A memorial service to honor Delores is scheduled between 1:00-4:00 pm on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Leo P. Gallagher & Sons Funeral Home which is located at 31 Arch Street in Greenwich, CT. All are welcome to attend.
