Dorothy Mae Fritchman

Dorothy Fritchman 92 departed this life on January 14, 2013 in the Bronx, New York. She was born on May 21, 1921 in Hellertown, Pennsylvania and spent most of her life with her family in Hellertown, most recently at the Merry Go Round Mews in Greenwich, Connecticut.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Eddie Fritchman of Coopersberg, Pennsylvania and Fred Warren Spangenberg of Hellertown, Pennsylvania. Surviving is her son Richard L. Spangenberg of Westport, CT (formerly of Greenwich).

In her younger years, Dorothy was valedictorian of her graduating class, an accomplished high board diver and competitive equestrian. Later in life, she was an avid golfer and housewife. She was an accountant in the automotive industry and the family’s photography studio.

A memorial will be held at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home. 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, CT. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at Gallagher’s. Followed by a memorial service at 6:30 pm provided by Avery Manchester.
