Eileen E Gove

Eileen Elizabeth Gove, 92, a lifelong Greenwich resident, died peacefully in her home January 4 2015. Eileen was born in Greenwich on September 4, 1922, the daughter of John Flannery and Elizabeth Keating Flannery. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Daniel Warren Gove, a brother John Flannery, and sisters May MacAndrews and Helen Flannery. Eileen is survived by her brother Bill Flannery, her daughter Elizabeth Silver (Ken), sons Warren (Carol), Russell (Caroline) and Daniel John Gove, four grandchildren, Raymond, Cheryl, Daniel and James and six great grandchildren Ellie, Julia, Sydney, Cole, Clara, Crew. The family is especially grateful to Manana Zaft, Eileen’s loving caregiver for eight years. Eileen was a 1940 Greenwich High School Graduate. During the summer months, she could often found at either Todd’s Point or Island Beach. Eileen was very proud of her Irish heritage. She was a great listener and always enjoyed a good laugh. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Leo P Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch St. from 5-8 pm on Thursday January 8, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday January 9 at 12:00 pm, Internment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Greenwich home hospice
