Emily Marie Sandor

Emily Marie {Bruno} Sandor was born May 15, 1931 in Greenwich, Connecticut, Where she lived all of her life. She was a Mom, Wife, Sister, and Aunt to a large and wonderful family. Her greatest pleasures were the simple things in life; her gardens, her family and the Holiday dinners she hosted. And a Holiday was not complete until one visited Emily at home.

She was predeceased by her parents Mary {Ziemea} and Paul Bruno, her son Jeffrey, her husband Peter, her sisters Cecilia “Ceil” Hudock, Stella Hotetz, her brothers Stanley “Butch” Bruno, John “Mush” Bruno, Peter Bruno and Blaise Bruno.

She is survived by her devoted children Peter {Lori} in Harrison, N.Y., David, Christine both live in Greenwich and Nancy {Tom} in Fairfield. She was a doting Grandmother to Peter, Claire, and David. And she will be missed by all her nephews and nieces who always enjoyed chatting with Emily.

She always said that she was “blessed to have such a loving and wonderful family”; at the end of the day, however, it was her family that was indeed blessed to have had her as a part of their lives.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 3 PM to 8 PM at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul R.C. Church, 84 Sherwood Ave, Greenwich.
