

He is survived by his Mother, Dorothy Crisp, his children; daughters Lisa Crisp-Martinez (David) and Erica Crisp of Arizona, Loriane Crisp Luberto (Joseph) of Connecticut, and his son Ernest Crisp (Demetria) of New York. Grandchildren; Brianna, Sophia, and Joseph Luberto Jr , Giselle Gonzalez and Tatiana Martinez; sisters Linda Carino of Bradenton Florida, and Barbara Merritt (Gene) of Tampa, Florida. Nephews; Tony Carino, Eugene Merritt and niece Michelle Carino. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Crisp (1978).
Ernie was born in Port Chester, NY to Dorothy Murphy and Ernest Crisp. He graduated from Port Chester High School in 1975, lived in Greenwich, Connecticut were all his children were born. He worked for Gannett Group Newspapers (The Daily Item) and a local oil company in Port Chester. His passion and many volunteer hours went to Brooksville Fire House. He was longtime volunteer member of the Port Chester Fire Department. As a dedicated member of Brooksville Engine and Hose Company #5, he held the offices of President, Vice President, Captain, 1st Lieutenant and 2nd Lieutenant and was honored being a part of the Fire Department. Engine 62 was his home page; he never forgot his time with this Engine Company and his fellow firemen.
Ernie moved to Florida in 2002 and was a passionate Rays fan, he tried to convert the whole family to be Rays fans…it was always GO RAYS. Ernie loved his children, grandchildren and family. Ernie touched many lives in different ways, he liked to tease, he could be stubborn, but he was also kind and generous. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Friends and Family are welcome to attend a Memorial Gathering Saturday November 1, 2014 from 11am to 1pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home located at 31 Arch Street in Greenwich, CT concluding with a Memorial Service at 1pm.
