

Joanne Campbell Edwards was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of Jane and Frank Campbell on her mother’s birthday, January 26, 1937. She is survived by her brother Frank J. Campbell, III and sister, Leonide Campbell Prince and husband, George B. Prince, Jr , her children Kinnaird S. McQuade, Jr. (Susan) and Kevin C. McQuade, and stepchildren Stacie E. Woltman (Kenneth R.), Melissa E. Pennington, (Roger), and Henry L. Edwards, III (Marissa). Three grandchildren Kinnaird S. McQuade, III, Aurora McQuade, and Maria McQuade, and step-grandchildren Julie and Shaun Pennington, and Sofie Edwards.
She graduated from Merion Mercy Academy in Merion, PA., Rosemont College, and Stanford University Sloan Graduate Wives program.
She had a varied career in sales; she first sold airplanes with Beechcraft in Cincinnati, OH, she was one of the first women to sell and lease cars with BMW and, for a time, she was the Cincinnati area’s leading salesperson, and she sold real estate in Greenwich with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, where she achieved the Chairman’s Circle Award.
Joanne had a tremendous impact on many people with a charming mix of kindness and generous spirit, feisty character and a particularly quick wit. She felt that her mission in life was to make people laugh and it often masked her terrible pain, which she was determined to hide from the world.
Calling hours will be on Thursday , May 28th from 4-7 PM at the Leo P. Gallagher Home at 31 Arch Street in Greenwich. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 29th at 11am, at St. Michael the Archangel Church on 469 North Street in Greenwich.
