María Z. López

Born in Marquetalia, Caldas, Colombia, she was the daughter of Ramon Antonio Lopez and Ana Francisca Hernandez. She was self-employed. Maria was always involved in charity events. She was married, and after a divorce, she was both a father and mother for her kids. She also helped her mother to raise the other 17 brothers and sisters. She was a catechist of kids, teenagers, and adults, and was an advisor reconciliatory person for couples to receive the Sacrament of Marriage

Maria was a member of St. Roch, St. Mary and St. Catherine of Siena. She enjoyed activities in the Catholic Church for many years. She will be remembered for her lovely smile, her jokes, her advice, her sweetness to treat everyone, her faith in beliefs, and her love and trust to the Holy Family. Maria made hand-rosaries; then she gave it and taught people of how to pray the rosary; she gave rosaries to many people. She was a good reader and enjoyed gardening.

Friends are invited to calling hours Friday, May 24th, from 5:00 pm to 9:00pm, at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch St. Greenwich, CT 06830. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 25th, at 10:00 am at St. Mary Church, 178 Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich, CT 06830.
