Romelia Concepcion Ramirez

Romelia Concepcion Ramirez, age 66, of Greenwich, Connecticut passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Romelia was born in Guatemala in December 1958 to Alejandro and Castula Ramirez. She was one of nine children.

In pursuit of a brighter future, she emigrated to the U.S. in 1985. She devoted herself to working hard to provide for her son and daughters - Daisy (45), Cindy (33), and Christian (31) - while being the most loving mother to them.

She was a resident of Greenwich, CT for 25 years, where she enjoyed long walks and BBQs at Todds Point, as well as shopping and dining on Greenwich Avenue. She cherished spending time with her many friends and close family. She made holidays special, from her tamales at Christmas to her fried tacos at Easter.

All who knew Romelia would describe her as a loving friend, a strong supporter, and a determined fighter. She will be remembered by many as someone who gave great advice, brought endless happiness and laughter, and provided strength to those around her. She never stopped shining, even during her long battle with cancer, facing every challenge with a smile on her face.

To her children, she will always be the strongest person they have ever known. She will be deeply missed.

A visitation for Romelia will be held Sunday, March 2nd from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, with a funeral service at 2:30 PM, at Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, 31 Arch St. Greenwich, CT 06830
