Susannah Wright Volpicelli, 85, of Darien, CT, passed away March 15, 2015. She was born in Chappaqua, NY on February 10, 1930. Suzy graduated from Horace Mann School and received a Bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University. She was married to Louis Joseph Volpicelli on October 30, 1953. Suzy had a career in television and advertising working for J. Walter Thompson as a talent agent supplementing her income as a hand model for Kraft Foods. With the birth of her first and only child Elizabeth, she became a full time wife and mother which she believed was her greatest achievement. Suzy had an incredible passion for animals, books, flowers and needlepoint. She was survived by her husband, Louis, her loving daughter Elizabeth, her son-in-law Robert Prazmark and her four grandchildren Lauren Ready, Michael Prazmark, Sarah Prazmark and Katie Prazmark. A service will be held between 10am and 2pm, Saturday, March 21, at the Gallagher Funeral Home in Greenwich CT. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked contributions be made to local ASPCA’s.
