Vincent Sorese

Vincent is survived by his Mother, Elizabeth Sorese of Ossining, NY; his wife, Denise Sorese of Greenwich and his daughters, Jaclyn Sorese of Greenwich and Lauren Robbins of Fairfield, CT. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Colin Robbins and Maeve Robbins, and son-in-law, Tim Robbins, all of Fairfield, CT. In addition, Vincent is survived by his three siblings: Leonard Sorese of Austin, TX, Maryann Sorese of Ossining, NY and John Sorese of Virginia. He is predeceased by his father, Leonard Sorese of Rocky Point, NY.

Vincent was born on August 1, 1945 in New York, NY to Elizabeth and Leonard Sorese. He graduated from Iona College in 1967 with a degree in psychology; shortly thereafter, he received his MBA, also at Iona College. Vincent married Denise Sorese, his high school sweetheart in 1967. After moving to Greenwich, Vincent worked for Chesebrough-Ponds Incorporated in an executive marketing and sales position.

Over time, Vincent and Denise welcomed two children into their home and Vincent set about teaching his two daughters, Jaclyn and Lauren, about integrity, respect and the importance of a sense of humor. His children remember him as a kind, patient, loving and driven person who encouraged them to pursue their goals and always give everyone a chance. He was, and will continue to be, a role model. His passionate and caring nature made him universally loved.

On Monday, a viewing is scheduled for 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son funeral home in Greenwich, CT at 31 Arch Street. A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday at 11:00 am at Saint Catherine’s of Sienna Church in Riverside, CT. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your local veterans’ group.
