Ann dedicated much of her life to serving others. She worked as a hairdresser and for Greenwood Public Schools, always bringing kindness and warmth to those around her. One of the sweetest traditions in her life was receiving a box of Cracker Jacks on the 27th of every month from her beloved Don. She found immense joy in traveling with her children and grandchildren, but her happiest moments were spent gathered around the dining room table on Sunday afternoons, serving home-cooked meals to her family. Each week after Sunday lunch, the family would draw to see what meal she would cook the next week—except on birthdays, when the birthday person got to choose their favorite meal and dessert. Her recipes continue to be a staple in many kitchens, forever known as "Ann’s recipes."
Her love for the Lord was evident in her dedication to Greenwood First United Methodist Church, where she took great pride in serving, especially by feeding children during "Team Christ" on Wednesday afternoons. She was a woman of unwavering kindness, always smiling, always giving. Her friendships were cherished, particularly her time with the ladies' breakfast group. A devoted supporter of the Greenwood Bulldogs, Ann could often be found cheering in the bleachers at any game she could attend. She was also an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan, always ready to call the Hogs.
