Betty Jo Wheaton, 85, of Greenwood passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was retired from Michigan Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of the Greenwood First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Wheaton and a daughter, Carolyn Randall.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 27, 2012 in the McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with interment at the U. S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith at a later time. Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include a brother, Melvin Farrar of Fort Smith, grandchildren, and cousins.
