Carl Edward Howard, 76, of Pocola, Oklahoma passed away Monday, August 2, 2021 in Pocola. He was the owner of Ed Howard Construction.

He is survived by his wife, Iris Howard; two sons, Shawn Howard of Pocola and Heath Howard and wife, Jennifer of Pocola; two sisters, Betty Roberts and Peggy Hudson both of Rock Island; four grandchildren, Garrett Howard and wife, Skyler of Pocola, Amaica Howard of Fort Smith, Jalen Little of Pocola and Easton Little of Pocola and one great granddaughter, Gracie Howard of Pocola. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Howard and sister, Shirley Pryor.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 4 at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 – 7 p.m.

Pallbearers will be William “Buzz” Morris, Greg Graham, Joe Lee Hodge, Greg “Skinny” Hodge, Chris Short, Scott Short, Anthony Freeman and Allan Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy John Howard, Lonnie Harris, Rayford Lowery, Brian Richards and Jason “Speedy” Lauer.
