Charles Lee (Charlie) Gordon, 66, of Greenwood, Arkansas was called into the presence of the Lord on May 31, 2018. He was born January 11, 1952 to Gerald Richmond and Martha Ellen (Stewart) Gordon. He grew up in the Excelsior Baptist Church family and attended Greenwood High School, where he participated in football and baseball. His senior year he was selected to be in the Greenwood High School Hall of Fame by his teachers. Charlie was an avid sports fan; he especially enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals and the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was an umpire for the USSSA for many years. Charlie was a retired maintenance technician for Sparks Hospital and a member of Excelsior Baptist Church.
His life was centered around his sons, Jarrod and Jeremy. He spent his time at the ballfields watching them play sports. He was blessed with two extraordinary daughters-in-law, Kristina and Danielle, whom he loved. G-Pop’s pride and joy was his five beautiful granddaughters, Harper, Grace, Emma and Savannah Gordon and Madi Sims, and he was eagerly awaiting another baby girl due in September. He is also survived by his brother, Dale Gordon and wife Wanda of Fort Smith and Paul Gordon and wife, Johnnie of Tulsa and his sister, Wanda Lewis and husband, Bob of Greenwood. His ornery personality will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
