Charlie Johnson, 81, of Pocola, Oklahoma passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 in his home. He was retired from Baldor, a U.S. Army veteran, member of the Moshulatubbee Lodge #13 F & AM and a member of Friendship Baptist Fellowship. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genna Johnson and daughter Charletta Ryder.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Friendship Baptist Fellowship in Rock Island with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Monday from 1 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
He is survived by his two daughters, Renay Rubottom of Jacksonville, FL and Jennifer Hobbs of Pocola, OK; one brother, Glendal Johnson of Booneville, AR and five grandchildren, Bert Wisdom, Hayley Rubottom, Ashley Hobbs, Jermey Odom and Preston Hobbs.
