Memorial service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, March 4, at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. Cremation was under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Gappmayer; two sons, Cavan Gappmayer and Kenneth Gappmayer; five daughters, Amy Thompson, Rhonda Newell, Loni Gappmayer, Krystal Newell and Tanya Gappmayer Morrison; four sisters, Patty Newell, Pam Kemppainen, Peggy Newell and Karen Kelchner; fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
