Charles Emmett Pruitt, 92, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Friday, May 6, 2011 in Fort Smith. He was born November 6, 1918 in West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Pearl Pruitt. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a life member of Riverside Masonic Lodge and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Jacksonville, FL. He received the Fort Smith Citizenship Award, worked with the Red Cross and spent 32 years working with the Boys Scouts of America.
Graveside service will be 10 am Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by three daughters, Ada Grieve and husband, James, Patricia Williamson and husband, Dennis and Claudia Neissl and husband, Bob; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
