D. Wendell Bobbitt

D. Wendell Bobbitt, 86, of Greenwood, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in Greenwood. He was retired from Bobbitt Furniture and a WWII Navy Veteran. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church, Gideon’s and V.F.W. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-nine years and the mother of his children; Mary Ellen and his wife of eight years, Edith.

Services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 30th at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Dawson Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday, December 29th from 1-9 PM at the funeral home where family will visit with friends from 5-7 PM.

Survivors include two sons, Jim Bobbitt and his wife, Owalah of Tulsa, OK, Gary Bobbitt and his wife, Doris of Greenwood; one sister, Vita Graham of Greenwood; four grandsons, Aaron Bobbitt and his wife, Audria of Broken Arrow, OK, Nicholas Bobbitt and his wife, Melissa of Tulsa, OK; Tristan Bobbitt of Fort Smith and Scotty Bobbitt and his wife, Katelyn of Austin, TX and five great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Bobbitt, Nicholas Bobbitt, Tristan Bobbitt, Scotty Bobbitt, Jim Cox and R.B. Bobbitt.
