Daniel E. Layne

Daniel E. Layne, 68, of Hartford, Arkansas passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a retired electrician and a forty-two year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was also a member of the Hartford Masonic Lodge and was preceded in death by his wife of forty-five years, Brenda.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 5, 2012 at the Coop Prairie Church in Mansfield with interment at Hartford Memorial Park under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Pallbearers will be Wayne Wooten, Jimmy Roberts, Allen Layne, Matt Bartlett, Jason Chick, and Mike Fletcher.

Survivors include his son, Steven Layne, and wife, Deanna, of Hartford; two daughters, Pamela Miller and husband, William “Dub” of Rock Island, OK and Sarah Wilkerson and husband, Gary, of Hackett, AR; a brother, Bobby Layne and his wife, Ina, of Hartford; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Viewing will be Sunday, March 4th from 1:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home in Greenwood where the family will visit with friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M.
