Delores Ellen Winters

Delores Ellen Winters, 81, of Mansfield, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born February 21, 1942 in Hartford, Arkansas to Andrew and Mary (Corl) Turman. She was a retired cook for Mansfield Schools and a member of Coop Prairie Church.

She is survived by her husband, Newlin Winters; two sons, Richard Winters and Michael Winters and wife, Sandra both of Mansfield; one daughter, Lori Hoopengarner and husband, Larry of Mansfield; one brother, Clarence Turman and wife, Carol of Redding, California; sister-in-law, Bonnie Turman of Camden, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Grayson Winters, Michael G. Winters, Christopher Boatright and Chandler Boatright and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Turman and Mary and Russell Brooks; two brothers, Donald Turman and his infant twin brother, Ronald and one grandson, Steven Winters.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 26 at Coop Prairie Church in Mansfield with burial at Jackson Cemetery in Hartford under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Boatright, Chandler Boatright, Michael Winters, Larry Hoopengarner, Brad Fry and Chris Fry.
