Diana Marie Gipson, 57, of Washburn, Arkansas passed from this earth to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, September 5, 2022 at her home. She was born May 10, 1965, in Bordeaux, France. She was a 1983 graduate of Greenwood High School. She was a former employee of Greenwood Industries and later in life a caretaker of her mother and father. She was a member of Mount Harmony Baptist Church and had also attended Lakeview Pentecostal Church of God. She had a love for music, particularly country music. She loved writing, too, and as young adult, would spend her quiet time creating and writing her own song lyrics. She was strong-willed, but she had a loving spirit and the kindest of hearts, particularly when it came to her family, close friends and children. She loved making everyone feel special, particularly children. She took great joy in making children feel loved, whether it was a with handful of candy or special Christmas toys that she had had fun picking out for them. She found great joy in the simplest things in life, like the serenity and peacefulness of deer at play around her home or the playfulness of a stray cat that called her yard home. She was loyal and the biggest supporter of those who loved her and went out of their way to help her. She celebrated the successes of those she loved and always offered words of encouragement or praise.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnie Wayne and Josette Gipson of Washburn. She is survived by a brother, Jonathan W. Gipson and wife, Karen of Magazine; a nephew, Josh Hart and wife, Stephanie of Caulksville; two great-nephews, Wyatt and Walker Hart, and a great-niece, Wrenleigh Hart, all of Caulksville; an aunt, Patsy Gipson of Greenwood; and longtime family friends, Kevin and Donna Gilliam of Washburn and Rev. John and Doris Neihouse of Central City.
A graveside celebration of life for family and close friends will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 9, at Dawson Cemetery in Milltown. Pastor Tammy Frederick will be officiating.
