Diana Kay Ralston

Diana Kay “Diane” Ralston went home to be with her Lord, Thursday, October 28, 2010. She was born September 7, 1955 in Hackett, Arkansas to Bennie and Irene Bowers. She was a member of Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church at Hackett where she attended for over thirty years. She was a former Sunday school teacher and was the church secretary/clerk for twenty plus years. She was retired from the Greenwood Public Schools where she was a secretary for about twelve years. Diane was a wonderful wife and mother who enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a faithful servant of her Lord, Jesus Christ, and known by many for her positive, pleasant attitude and always-present smile. She was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Bowers.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 P.M. Monday, November 1, 2010 at the Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church with interment at Ramsey Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood, AR.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-seven years, Doug; two sons, Justin Ralston and his wife, Whitney of Greenwood and Timothy Ralston and his wife, Lindsey of Jacksonville, AR; her father Bennie Bowers; a brother, Johnny Bowers; a sister, Barbara Henry all of Hackett; and five grandchildren, Eric, Eli, Judah, Josiah, and Abigail Ralston.

Viewing will be from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M. Sunday, October 31st at the funeral home where the family will visit with friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M..

Pallbearers will be Mark Cumbie, Carrol Slate, Jerry Henry, Doug, Justin, and Timothy Ralston. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Strozier, Darrell Odom, and the Wal-Mart Heart truck drivers.
