Donald Blane Mickle, 68, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026 in his home. He was born June 7, 1957 in Kansas City, Kansas to Dennis Eugene and Oletha Jean (Martin) Mickle. He retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years of service and retired from International Paper as a machine operator. He met his beautiful wife of 44 years while serving in the military in Germany.
He is survived by his wife, Jutta Mickle; one daughter, Michelle Mickle-Jones and husband, Michael; one son, Christian Mickle; a special son, Misael Tejeda; one brother, Ronald Mickle; two sisters, Anna Stephens and Deborah Allison; two sisters-in-law, Heidi Wagner and husband, Wolfgang and Steffi Bender and husband, Juergen; two grandchildren, Gabrielle and Isabella Jones; his uncle, Buford Ray Martin and wife, Artie and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marty Mickle and Dennis Mickle, Jr.
Memorial service with military honors will be 10 a.m., Monday, April 6 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood. Inurnment will be at the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
