

Doris Marie Granger, 68, of Lavaca died Monday, September 12, 2011 in Barling, Arkansas. She was born April 11, 1943 in Richmond, California to the late Freida and Harry Kelley. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Kelley. She was a retired school teacher with the Fort Smith School System, most of the thirty plus years teaching at Raymond F. Orr Elementary School. She was of the Baptist faith; she lived most of her life in Pocola, Oklahoma and the last twenty-four years in Lavaca.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Thursday, September 15, 2011 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Liberty Cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday from 1 – 9 pm at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 7 – 9 pm.
She is survived by her husband, Charles of the home; three daughters, Kelley Jackson and her husband, James of Fort Smith, Koni Lairamore of Lavaca and Tina Biggerstaff and her husband, Robert of Lavaca; one son, Perry Granger of Lavaca; four grandsons, Ash Roy of Fort Smith, Keith Jackson of Fort Smith and Kris and Joe Lairamore of the home; four granddaughters, Charly Jo Hobbs, Megan Granger, Madilyn and Molly Biggerstaff all of Lavaca; two great grandsons, Rome Roy of Fort Smith and Alex Granger of Lavaca; very special friend, Arlene Ridenour and many friends and relatives too numerous to mention.
Pallbearers will be Bob Pryor, Kenny Hobbs, Kenny Douglas, Rick Withers and Kyle Bruso. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Carter, J.C. Trotter and Richard Rhodes.
