Elizabeth Ann Peerson, 82, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away peacefully on August 6, 2024 at Pink Bud Nursing Home in Greenwood. She was born on January 2, 1942 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Robert and Eddie Maye Bishop.
Elizabeth (aka Liz, Pippy or Pep) was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim Bill Peerson. They had been married for 58 years at the time of his passing in 2022. She is survived by her three children, Jim Bob Peerson, Tina DePriest and Grace Mitchum all from Greenwood; eight grandchildren, Jacob Peerson, Ashley Sherwood, Jaret Peerson, Travis DePriest, Tori Pippin, Trevor DePriest, Blake Mitchum and Connor Mitchum; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Robert Bishop and a sister, Pauline Hammons. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Phillips and Sue Tennant.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, August 12 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood. Viewing will be Sunday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 4 – 6 p.m. Her final resting place will be at the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
