

Fred Henry Kinslow, 86, of Greenwood went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, September 22, 2017 in his home with his family by his side. He was a master barber with a lifetime license, member of Greenwood First Baptist Church since 1964, where he served as a Deacon, taught Sunday School for several years and was a member of an amazing life group, member of Harris Hannah VFW Post #6527, Korean War Veteran, Army National Guard PFC 1949-1951, Airman 2nd Class 1951-1954 and Greenwood Co- Citizen Of The Year 2003 with his loving wife Bodesia.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Bodesia; his son, Fred Kinslow Jr.; one sister, Helen Parks; three brothers, Warren Junior Kinslow, Dean Hughes and Bill Hughes and his parents, Warren and Clara Kinslow.
The celebration service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 27 at Greenwood First Baptist Church with burial at Gillam Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Tuesday from 2 – 7 p.m. at the church, where the family will receive visitors from 5 – 7 p.m.
He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Kinslow and Elizabeth Scharbor and husband, Tommy; one son, Mayor Doug Kinslow and wife, Pam all of Greenwood; one daughter-in-law, Gabriela Kinslow of Fort Smith; grandchildren, Gaby Kinslow, Fred Kinslow, III, Alex Kinslow and wife, Lindsey, Nathan Cheek, Challis Carter, Kory Kinslow and wife, Kimberly, Christopher Kinslow and fiancée, Julie Cotter, Nicholas Kinslow, Audree Shelton and husband, Ryan, Mitchell Scharbor and wife, Rachel and Keeley Douglas; great grandchildren, Val Holmes and husband, Chadd, Christina Payton, Logan Kinslow, Florian Fleming, Alena Carter, Isla and Creedence Kinslow, Madeline Cotter, Bryson Cook, Aurora Cook, James Shelton and Heath Horton. Fred leaves behind many loving family members and a town full of friends.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Harris Hannah VFW Post# 6527 and his FBC Life Group.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood Parks and Recreation Department, P.O. Box 1450, Greenwood, AR 72936.
