I'm promoting a radio show and on several occasions I had the pleasure of talking with Gary.  We had many great conversations and I will miss speaking with him.  He was a true gentleman.

I would like the family to know of the nicest thing Gary did 2 weeks before his death. I am the Director for the Arc for the River Valley and Gary offered radio time to us to advertise our Fun Walk on May 22.  He was so concerned about how our disabled clients were doing and that the Arc receive the needed publicity.  He told me that he had testing scheduled and may not be able to make the second radio spot which he didn't.  But he called me personally the day before he went into the hospital to see if we still needed sound equipment.  I will never forget the concern and interest he showed in our small non-profit.  He was a wonderful guy and a great radio personality.  I was so fortunate to have known him!

Gary never failed to have a smile on his face and no matter how many years it had been was always friendly and ready with a kind word when meeting on the street or in a store.  This area has lost a great man and Mansfield has lost it's "voice".  A home football game will never be the same without his smiling voice.  He overcame great hurdles to play those drums when he was young and did well at everything he attempted.  We will all miss him....

I want to thank everyone for the kind words that have been written about my brother, Gary Elmore. He accomplished a lot of things in life but had many hurdles to go over-which he did. During the journey of his life he was knocked down many times but he didn't stay down-he picked himself up, dusted hisself off and kept on going. You see he had goals to reach and no matter how long it took or how impossible it seemed-he would not give up. He had a trusted friend in Jesus who never gave up on him or left him alone but walked beside him all his life. Gary's message to you today would be to never give up, let Jesus be first in your life-set your goal for Heaven. He wants to meet you there. I love my brother and miss him so much. Sometimes the tears flow like rain and then it's as if I can hear him say,"Karen Don it'll be alright, it'll be okay." And I have to realize that Gary is completely healed-no more pain, no more worries and that he reached his final goal-Heaven. I will continue my journey to reach the final goal-Heaven.

The thing about Gary is that he was real. He fought spiritual and physical battles. He hurt. He lost sometimes, and won a lot. Gary's position in the radio community gave him an amazing opportunity to minister to people who had no idea they needed God's grace and forgiveness. In a way, Gary's "realness" and his ability to understand without judging gave many in the radio profession an opportunity to meet our Savior - through Gary Elmore. He could do all that AND make people laugh. AND get into and out of a show on time. My prayers are with Gary's family.

It was truly an honor to have known such a man of God.  I feel so very blessed to have had him for a Pastor and friend for the past 10 years. He was truly an inspiration.  It was such a blessing the last 2 1/2 years to see him so very happy. He and LaRhesa were an awsome couple whose's Ministry and marriage were inspiring and a great blessing to their whole church family.

I never really saw Gary much , but heard alot about him from my grandmother , Karen. She was his sister. She told many stories from when they were young. I'm Gary's great-niece , he is my dad's , David , uncle. I knew he was VERY sepcial to my meme. He is and always will be to us and everyone who knew him. He LOVED god, not like anyone around me doesn't but he had a special 'bond', you could say. We loved him with all of our hearts and always will , forever & always.

I always looked forward to being on the morning show.  Gary was always so nice and helpful when I was working at the Kistler Center and at the Art Center.  I feel honored to have known him.  He will be missed and remembered by many.  Kathy L. Williams (Ft. Smith, Ar.)

I have only the fondest memories of Gary Elmore.  He was a wonderful pastor and example of Christianity in action to all who knew him.  He loved to make people laugh, and he sure did make us laugh a lot!  I hadn't seen him very much the last few years, but it puts a hole in my heart knowing he's gone.  Earth's loss is Heaven's gain.  My prayers are with the Elmore family.

I met Gary while participating in Citizen's Academy.  He was a kind and gracious man.  A true gentleman.

I was so sad  when i saw that Gary had died. He was such a nice man.  I looked forward to seeing him McCeeing the festivities in Mansfield and Huntington.  I know where he is now, and that he is truly happy and free, but i know all of you in his family are mourning right now and i pray that God will comfort all of you during this time, as i know He will. Gary Elmore was a WONDERFUL Pastor and friend. I loved to hear him preach and sing. He always had a smile and a kind word to say! He touched so many lives including mine, I will always have a special place in my heart for him!

We have known Gary for many years he was the best friend anyone could ask for. There was a time in our lives when Gary stood by us and gave us encouragement and pushed us forward when we felt like giving up.I believe you could search the whole world and never find another like him there isn't even a carbon copy to be found.Gary we love you and will hold you close to our hearts until we meet again in heaven.Thank you LaRhesa for making our best friend so happy. I think I speak for all that knew Gary when I say the life's he touched were enriched.

Alot of people knew and will remember Gary for his voice on the radio. We feel so honored to have known him as a great man of God and our pastor for several years. He will always hold a special place in our hearts. We love him and will miss him. God Bless all his family and all the wonderful friends left behind. We now have one more reason to live right and make it to heaven so we can see Gary again.

Our heart goes out to all of you during this very difficult time of loss. It is so hard to understand how and why these things must come into our lives. I was told the Lord was preparing His army and I believe HE IS TAKING THE BEST. I had the honor and pleasure of sitting next to Gary during his announcing of the MHS baseball games. He was a wonderful man and loved his children dearly. I know he will be missed terribly. Please know that you are in our hearts and prayers now and in the future.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I met Pastor Gary when my son Jeremy Womack and his wife Ginger, began attending church at God's House Of Prayer in Fort Smith Arkansas. Brother Gary and the church members took them under their wings, and helped them to grow spiritually. Jeremy and Ginger both loved attending, and helping in the church. My Son Jeremy on April 27, 2005,at the age of 29 lost his life in Booneville Ark.  Jeremy loved Brother Gary and the church members so much and they in return loved him. I will be for ever grateful to them for taking Jeremy and Ginger under their wings, loving them, being there for them, and also being there for us when we lost Jeremy.  Jeremy love's the Lord so much. I can just see the smile on his face when he saw Brother Gary in their heavenly home.

I have had the privilege of being a  daily radio guest of Gary's as well as having a weekly call in segment that Gary hosted. He was a true professional and had a very real connection with the listeners in our area. Gary and I shared a love of baseball and were both polio overcomers and thus I always looked forward to seeing him and  hearing his great voice. We lost an icon,a great friend and a Christian gentleman. My prayers I pledge to Gary's family.

Pastor Gary was an amazing person who cared deeply for people. He was an awesome preacher, talented radio host and great friend. I had the pleasure of attending his church for two years. He has helped me and my family so much overcoming many difficult trials. I am so glad that he got to see the positive changes that he was able to assist with God's help in my family's lives. He will be greatly missed here on earth and I can't wait to see him again in heaven. It's a comfort to know he's in a better place but I still miss him and it makes my heart ache knowing that he isn't here with us. We love you Gary.

It was an honor to know  BROTHER GARY & it  was a blessing to hear him preach,  may the LORD bless his family & friends  always.

The legacy that Gary has left behind is one that many of us only imagine we could duplicate.  Gary overcame obstacles with grace and strength.  His foundation of  a family rooted deeply in their Christian principles carried him all of his life.  I was happy to have called him my friend.

      I've known Gary for a long time. My heart goes out to all of his family.  I feel close to all his brothers and sisters because I've known them most of my life. My sincere condolences goes out to all of you.

My father Larry Hixon and Gary worked together at KTCS for many years and were very good friends. I imagine my father and Gary are now talking radio talk together in Heaven.  My prayers go out to the Elmore family in their time of loss.

I met Gary about 25 years ago and he always met you with a smile and a word of encouragement. He will be missed by all who knew him. Gary is our lost but heavens gain.

I just have to say he was a Awsome  preacher and Friend for the Farrar Family at the little Church of Tyro Miracle Tabernacle at sugarloaf lake arkansas. He was there when you needed him no matter time or day.We will miss you Gary,but will see you again. We love you. The Farrar family!

Heaven just gained a great guy. We on earth will miss you greatly. I'll never forget Gary's kindness to me when I first moved to Mansfield from California. The Mansfield Class of 1972 will miss him. Gary could always make me laugh . . . what a great gift.  Our prayers and love to family and friends.  LaRhesa you were very blessed. Scott & Clint you had a terrific dad and I know you will miss him so much. But we know where he is and know that one day we will all meet again. . . .

If there is/was a nicer, decent, honorable person than Gary Elmore in this part of the world, I have yet to meet them. 

Am most grateful and honored to have been included in Gary’s vast network of friends. We send our sincere condolences to his family, and hope that his generous, warm and loving spirit may continue through those he touched.
