Gary Ward Schrum

Gary Ward Schrum, 75, of Hackett, Arkansas passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 in his home. He was born September 27, 1939 to Dan and Esther Schrum. He was a retired auto mechanic for Keeton-Sewell Motor Company.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Calvary Assembly of God Church in Hackett with burial at Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will meet with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.

He is survived by three daughters, Karen Jones and husband, Tim of Van Buren, Tabitha Lovell and husband, Bill of Muldrow and Sheila Beckworth of Fort Smith; three sisters, Sonja Goines, Sharon Woodruff and Jayne Stafford all of Greenwood; two brothers, Danny Schrum of Greenwood and Tim Schrum of Mansfield; seven grandchildren, Gary Perkins, Kaycee Swindle, Hayley Lovell, Lindsay Lovell, Jessica Figueroa, Justin Gill and Dillon Clark and twelve great grandchildren, Alli, Garett, Hayley, Journey, Kenlee, Blake, Karstein, Zander, Braylin, Orlando, Melina and Malkom. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Schrum and his parents, Dan and Esther Schrum.

Pallbearers will be Ben Clark, Carl “Shorty” Sweeten, Bobby Byrd, Jack Staffford, Gary Carter and Derek McFarland. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Farrar and Benny Clark.
