Hester Lavada McBride

She was born July 28, 1933 in Hackett. She attended New Providence Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Baldor Electric and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jefferson Wick and Lizzie Ingram Clark; sister, Dora Mae Black; brothers, Pete, Kenneth, and Jefferson Clark.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William McBride; sons, William “Bill” McBride and wife Marie, Larry “Fudd” McBride and wife Frances; daughters, Jeanie Cameron and husband Sonny, Brenda Newton, Betty Wiggins and husband Monty; brothers, John Clark and wife Mary, Paul “Willard” Clark and wife Sue, Lloyd “Butch” Clark and wife Carol; sister-in-law Patsy McBride; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday, January 20, at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, with burial services at Old Union Cemetery in Hackett, under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home. Viewing will be Sunday, from 1-8 pm at the funeral home. The family will meet for visitation from 5-7pm.

Pallbearers will be Michael Branum, Jeff Branum, Stacey McBride, Randy McBride, Daniel Newton, Jerald McBride, Travis Graham, and Cody Wiggins.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
