Hoyt G. Scantling

Hoyt G. Scantling, 88, of Mansfield, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024 in Waldron. He was born May 2, 1936 in Sugar Grove, Arkansas to Granville and Minnie (Smith) Scantling. He was a missionary for 40 plus years, serving Canada, Cuba, the United States and Mexico, he was also a log truck driver and carpenter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Mae Scantling.

He is survived by four sons, Stan Scantling of Bangs, Texas, Doug Scantling of Magazine, Arkansas, Aaron Scantling of Emery, Texas and Todd Scantling of Fort Smith; two brothers, Donald Scantling of Boise, Idaho and Ronnie Scantling of Bentonville; three sisters, Delta Smith of Booneville, Loretta Anzar and Dorothy Posey bot of Phoenix, Arizona and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will hold a memorial service for Hoyt and Audrey at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
