Jeffrey "Papa" Ward

Jeff “Papa” Ward, 54, of Hartford, Arkansas passed away Monday, April 10, 2023 in his home. He was born June 6, 1968 in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was retired from the oilfield. He did volunteer work for the people and City of Hartford, through food drops, the volunteer fire department and many other kind deeds.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Ward; one son, Jesse Elmore of Fort Smith; four daughters, Jena Popken of Hackett, Kimberly Pogue of Waldron, Brianna Ward of Mansfield and Rachel Windle of Washington; one brother, Johnny Ward of El Dorado; two sisters, JoAnne Ward and Julie Hayes both of El Dorado; eleven grandchildren; many other children of the heart and a host of nieces and nephews.

A family led memorial service will be 10 a.m., Sunday, April 16 at Hartford Memorial Park. Cremation is under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
