

Jerry Mikel Bird, 37, of Greenwood passed away Thursday, January 21st, 2016. He was born in Fort Smith and lived his life as though it were a great adventure. He loved hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He owned Advantage Appraisal, a real estate appraisal business. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Teresa Bird; sisters Krissi Beeks and husband William and Cara Morland and husband Daniel; and fiancé Billie Henson and her son Drayke whom he considered and loved as his own. He is also survived by his grandmother, Barbara Bird and grandparents, Bob and Pat Pierce. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, James Marion Bird, Sr; great-grandmother Frances May and great-great aunt, Billie Hamm.
Uncle YaYa was dedicated to being the best uncle to his nieces and nephews Applesnail (Presley Abigail Beeks) Brubber (Crosby Beeks,) Tin (Remington Eli Morland,) and Perse (Pierce Morland).
Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Central Christian Church in Fort Smith with interment at Forest Park cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Family will visit will friends Tuesday from 5 pm to 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Sterling, Alen Hurt, Wayne Henson, Chad Beshears, Josh Allen, Taylor Sterling, Waylon Parker III and Justin Ahne.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Morland, Will Beeks, Brent Carter, Justin Loum, Brandon Pennington, Hayden Pennington and Aaron Loum.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his honor to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission to provide and educational opportunity for children, this memorial fund account has been set up at Farmers Bank.
