

Jim was born March 24, 1939 in Fort Smith to Phillip and Thelma (Hays) Bray. Jim was 76 years old, four months, and four days old. He retired from Correll, Inc. in Charleston. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Thelma Bray; one brother, Larry Bray and one grandson, Raymond Dale Bray.
He leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 59 years, Reba (Johnston) Bray; one son, Jimmy Dale Bray, Jr. of Greenwood; three daughters, Kathy Louise (Bray) Jackson of Greenwood; Andra Marie (Bray) Williams and companion Doug Hicks of Fort Smith; and Jerrie Lynn (Bray) Roberts and husband, Reverend Mark Roberts, Sr. of Benton; two brothers, Bobby Phil Bray, Sr. and Ricky Allen Bray, Sr. both of Fort Smith and a special niece, Linda Lairamore of Pocola, OK. Grandpa Jim will forever be in the hearts of his seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Jim will be missed by all who knew him and by the many lives he impacted, including a host of cousins, extended family, friends, neighbors and dear loved ones close to his heart.
Jimmy’s celebration of life will be 10 am Thursday, June 2 at the National Cemetery in Fort Smith with the Rev. Mark Roberts officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Wednesday, June 1 at McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood, AR.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Williams, Jeremy Roberts and Mark Roberts, Jr.
