

Jim Ann Kersey Gleason, 85, of Greenwood, AR died Monday, December 13, 2010 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born April 19, 1925 in Greenwood to Dick and Jim Pettus Kersey. Jim Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Gleason, a brother, Dick E. Kersey and her parents. She graduated from Mansfield High School, the Sparks School of Nursing, and College of the Southwest.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Ann League and her husband, Joel, of Shelbyville, KY; two sons, Robert Allen “Bob” Gleason and William L. “Bill” Gleason and his wife, Virginia (Clay), all of Greenwood; Seven grandchildren, Jody and Becky League of Shelbyville, KY, Delisa and Stephen Riley of Philadelphia, PA, Jade and Jessie Ryles of Greenwood, AR, Sundance Gleason and his wife, Amy; April, Ashley, and Neil Gleason, all of Greenwood; eight great grandchildren, Jessica, Cristina, and Elijah League, Paul, Daniel, Michael, and Jana Riley, and Jaci Newman; one sister, Martha Jane Kersey Ford and her husband, Hollie, of Stigler, OK; one brother, Bill J. Kersey and his wife Betty (Oliver) of Greenwood, AR; a sister-in-law Inez “Buddy” Hubbard Kersey of San Antonio, TX, and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a private family interment at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 16th at Lovelace Cemetery in Witcherville, AR. Following the interment of ashes the family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Thursday at her home, 2005 East Hickory Drive, in Greenwood.
McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood is in charge of cremation arrangements.
