Jimmie Lee Perkins

Jimmie Lee Perkins, 76, of Bonanza, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at his home. He was retired from Rheem and was a member of Bonanza Church of Christ. He was born July 30, 1941 in Pocola, Oklahoma to Roy and Ruby Perkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Denver and Lloyd (Bob) Perkins and a son, Roy Dewayne Perkins.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Karen Sue Perkins; one son, Kenneth Dean Perkins of the home; sisters-in-law, Herb and Helen Deal of Pennsylvania, Anita Tidwell of Oklahoma City, James and Joyce Holt of Hackett, Margette Brooks of Yukon, Oklahoma and Margaret Pinion of Winslow, Arkansas and many nieces, nephews and cousins from both sides of the family. Jimmie was loved and respected by all who knew him especially his adopted family, Pam Rose and Lloyd Gillooley and all his fishing buddies. He was a typical outdoor sportsman. Jim raced cars when he was younger and loved his family, hunting, fishing and gardening.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, May 24 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with interment at Mountain View Cemetery in Hackett. Viewing will be Wednesday from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends during this time.

Pallbearers will be Ron Perkins, Allen Perkins, Troy Branch, Sr., Troy Branch, Jr., James Winton and William Ashing. Honorary pallbearers will be Dallas Branch and Alfred Branch.
