John David Heidenthal, 66, of Hackett, Arkansas passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025 in his home. He was born September 18, 1958 in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas to John Joseph and Eva Mae (Shelton) Heidenthal. He was retired from the Fort Smith Public School System and a member of Saint Sabina and Mary Catholic Church in Jenny Lind.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Chantay Heidenthal; two sons, Richard DeSalvo and wife, Jamie of Fort Smith and Dominic DeSalvo of Fort Smith; one son-in-law, Luke Lorenson of Greenwood; two sisters, Linda Richardson and husband, Jerry of Tulsa and Freida Becker and husband, Bill of Booneville; five grandchildren, Luke Lorenson, Alexander Lorenson, Izerlind DeSalvo, Remington DeSalvo and Gauge DeSalvo and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Elenora Lorenson and a granddaughter, Lily Lorenson.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 4 at Saint Sabina and Mary Catholic Church in Jenny Lind. Cremation is under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
