

Jonathan Bilyeu, 25, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 in Greenwood, Arkansas. He was a member of Greenwood First Baptist Church and attended Evangel Temple in Fort Smith. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas Fort Smith with a bachelor’s degree. He loved sports, especially basketball, hunting and fishing. He had a special place in his heart for people with special needs, the elderly and children.
Jonathan loved his family and the Lord. Though his life ended tragically and too soon, Jonathan was a blessing and a joy to everyone he met. His notes in his Bible testify of his love for God’s Word and hope that all would find Christ, and be saved, and see him again one day in heaven.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2013 at Greenwood First Baptist Church with burial at Cross Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 – 7 p.m. at Greenwood First Baptist Church, where the family will visit with friends.
He is survived by his parents, Larry and Debbie Bilyeu of Greenwood; his Cissy, Charity Bilyeu of Fort Smith; Nanny and Papa, Earl and Erma Jean Bilyeu of Greenwood, formerly of Keota, OK; aunts, Lana Pence of Fort Smith and Barbara Wilson of Tulsa, OK; wife, Morgan of Fort Smith and many friends, coworkers and classmates. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruby Calhoun and twin brother, Caleb Bilyeu.
Pallbearers will be Dillan Black, Tyler Sandifer, Justin Fuchs, Jordan Lucas, Dex Pearcy and Jared Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Belk, James White, Tyler Hall, Caleb Findley and GHS Class of 2006.
