J.T. Thurman Brigance, 92, of Tate, Arkansas passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 in his home. He was a dairy farmer, Army veteran of World War II, member of Union Hope Baptist Church and the widower of Elsie Mae Brigance.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Wednesday, April 20 at Longridge Baptist Church with burial at Taylor Cemetery in Tate under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood, AR. Viewing will be 1 – 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
He is survived by one son, Paul Brigance of Tate; one daughter, Jane Hattabaugh of Ione; one brother, Willie Brigance of Tate and one grandson.
Pallbearers will be Bucky Brigance, Mack Brigance, Tony Preston, Buddy Lawrence, Jeff Vennink, Josh Boersma and Mike Boersma.
