

Juanita Mae Gasaway, (Nita) of Huntington passed away Friday, March 4, 2016 in her home. She was born August 5, 1929 in Williams, Oklahoma to Harvey and Leah Jane Frazier. She was a devoted wife, precious mother, and loving grandmother. Nita also enjoyed gardening, attending her church, and was a home health aide. She was preceded in death by one son, Steven Charles Gasaway; her parents, Harvey and Leah Jane Frazier; brother, Jack Frazier and sister, Betty Maichele.
Funeral will be 10 am Monday, March 7 at Dayton Church of Christ with Larry Bridges officiating. Interment will be at the Huntington Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood, Arkansas. Viewing will be 1-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home where family will visit with friends from 4-6 pm.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Gasaway of the home; three daughters and one son, Linda Maness and Charla Bolen both of Greenwood and Jo Anne McGriff and Jaye Gasaway both of Huntington; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren, one sister, Naomi Leiva of Houston; numerous nieces and nephews, her dear friends/caregivers, Mary Edwards, the ladies of Peachtree Hospice and Mansfield SRCA.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Cassidy, David Sutterfield, Mike and Jeff Brewer, Tom Dacus, Larry and Peggy Wagner.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Dayton Church of Christ, 2230 E Hwy 252, Huntington, AR 72940-9108.
