Lillian Fortney, 93, of Greenwood, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a homemaker, a member of the Greenwood United Methodist Church, Vache Grasse Country Club, and the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Fortney, one daughter, Margaret Fortney Sword, and one sister, Pauline Zeeman.
She is survived by one son, Gary Fortney and wife, Karen of Sacramento, CA, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, with burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home following the service.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Akana and Jesse Sword.
