Maria P. Neal

Maria P. Neal, 91, of Hackett passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 in her home. She was retired from Whirlpool, and a member of Hackett First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Paul Neal, and two grandsons, Joey Ragsdale and Eric Taylor. She enjoyed gardening and all her pecan trees. She was a giving person who loved her family, never met a stranger, and will be missed by everyone.

She is survived by four daughters, Patricia Taylor of the home, Toni Posey and husband Dave of Midland, Ginger Norman and husband Ted of Troy, Texas, and Mary O’Toole and husband Michael of Temple, Texas; two sons, Gene Paul Neal, Jr. and fiancée Jennifer Morris, both of Hackett, and Joe Ragsdale and wife Kathie of Fort Smith; two step-daughters, Sue Moore of Springdale and Peggy Raney of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one step-son, Franklin Neal of Hartford, twenty nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Mountain View Cemetery. Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friend from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
