Marie Brixey

Marie Brixey, 92, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was retired from the Sebastian County Assessor’s Office, president of the Arkansas State Garden Club and member Greenwood United Methodist Church.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18 at Greenwood United Methodist Church with burial at Washburn Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Tuesday, Dec. 17 from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.

She is survived by three sons, Ron Brixey of Fort Smith, David Brixey of Greenwood and Scott Brixey of Fort Smith; one daughter, Phyllis Keys of Greenwood; two brothers, Clayton Sellers of Ralls, TX and Kenneth Sellers of Ralls, TX; one sister, Barbara Lutrick of Floydada, TX; nine grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Brixey.

Pallbearers will be Colt Daniel Owenby, Jared Brixey, Keith Brixey, Brandon Lowe, Chad Brixey and Case Owenby.
