Martin Joseph Ahne

Martin Joseph Ahne, 68, of Greenwood, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at his home with his family. He worked for Sparks Health Systems in Fort Smith as a maintenance supervisor for 37 years until he retired in 2016.

Visitation will be Friday from 1-7 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston, Arkansas, with burial at Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood, Arkansas, under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home.

He is survived by his three children, Angie Lensing and husband, George of Charleston, Amanda Ahne of Greenwood, and Justin Ahne and wife, Kathy of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Kylie and Carson Lensing and Tristan Ahne; girlfriend Irma McGill of Greenwood; his friend and the mother of his children, Linda Calhoun of Greenwood; two brothers, Bill Ahne and wife, Brenda and Dennis Ahne and wife, Brenda both of Scranton, Arkansas; five sisters, Joyce Fiddler and husband, Terry of Conway, Ruth Snow and husband, Bobby of Scranton, Carol Trusty of Russellville, Joann Lynch and husband, Steve of Scranton and Rose Mary Webb of Boone, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Bernard Ahne and Vera Catherine (Heimann) Ahne and his brother, Jim Ahne and brother in law Danny Trusty.

Pallbearers will be Mike Newman, Bernie Tougas, Raymond Harris, Jim Bird, Bill Ahne, Dennis Ahne and Bobby Mitch.
