Mary Elizabeth Canada

She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Reamy in 1969 and her second husband Richard Canada in 1986, as well as her parents John & Belle Evans, her two brothers Edgar and Jack Evans and her four sisters, Vivian Evans , Thelma Phillips, Levada Osborne and Lorene Strunk.

She is survived by her sister Bette Evans Cardin of Texas; her daughter Kathy Rogers and husband David of Greenwood; four sons, David Reamy and wife, Mary of Huntington, Reggie Reamy and wife, Angie (Nga) of Fort Smith, Rhee Reamy and wife, Donna of Huntington and Rick Canada and wife, Judy of Fort Smith. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Mary attended Arkoal, Midland and Huntington Schools. She was a life long member of the Huntington Eastern Star, Chapter 13 and retired from Norge/Whirlpool corporation in 1985 after 23 years.

She attended the New Life Tabernacle Church in Huntington. Mary was full of life, vim and vigor, loved her family, adored music, playing the piano, dancing and singing as well as quilting, and was an amazing gardener. She was 91 years young, loved life and helping others. She was a feisty and spunky lady to the end, and will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Funeral will be 10 am Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at New Life Tabernacle in Huntington with burial at U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be 1-8 pm at the funeral home, the family will visit with friends from 6-8 pm.
