

Matthew Albert Miesner, Jr., 72, of Greenwood, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2011 in a local hospital. He was born October 25, 1938, to Matthew, Sr. and Chloe Miesner. He attended school in Fort Smith and served his country as a member of the Navy. He was proud to be a cowboy and loved rodeo and ranching. He drove trucks for almost fifty years and retired from Wortz Biscuit after thirty-two years. He was preceded in death by a two brothers, Donald G. Miesner and Charles Henry.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn of the home; two sons, Todd Miesner and his wife, Jena of Greenwood, Billy Harmon and his wife, Jennifer of Greenwood; one daughter, Brooke Kindberg and her husband, Brian of Greenwood; two brothers, Joe Dan Miesner of Mountainburg; James Miesner and his wife, Linda of Greenwood; one sister, Louann Smith and her husband, Walter of Broken Bow; six grandchildren, Cody Harmon, Lauren Miesner, Logan Harmon, Taylor Miesner, Ivy Davis and Mason Harmon; one great grandson, Braydon Prince and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Friday, September 16th at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Viewing will be Thursday, September 15th from 1-9 PM at McConnell Funeral Home where family will visit with friends from 6-8.
Pallbearers are Scott Graham, Wes Pierson, Leo King, Ray Foster, Brian Kindberg, Walter Smith, Tim Tibbets and Rusty Smith.
