Mildred "Sissie" Boone

The family announces with deep regret that Ms. Mildred “Sissie” Boone left this world to be with the Lord at her home in Hackett, Arkansas the afternoon of January 31, 2012. Sissie was born May 9, 1924 and was a life long resident of Hackett and a member of the First Baptist Church in Hackett. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Claude Boone and Clifton Gibson; her parents, Bessie ad Ben Clark; sister, Christean Farrar; brothers, James Clark and Ben Oliver Clark and two grandchildren, Richard Boone and Rebecca Boone.

Ms. Boone is survived by one sister, Margarete Dyer of Fort Smith; two children, Jack Boone and wife, Mary E. of Hesperia, MI; daughter, Bettye Boone Goodwin and husband, Dane of Norman, AR; three grandchildren, Jackie Terrell and wife, Stephanie, Tammy Terrell Carter and husband, Rusty, Kim Christensen and husband, Phil, along with seven great grandchildren and one great great grandson and several grand and great grandchildren by marriage.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2012 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Mountain View Cemetery in Hackett. Viewing will be Thursday from 1 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Jackie Terrell, Anthony McCutcheon, Phil Christensen, Josh Christensen, Billy Don Ledbetter, Richard Lennier and Bill Goodwin. Honorary pallbearers will be Jannie McCutcheon, Chris Willhite, Jordan Christensen, Jantzen Terrell, Jack Terrell and Lance McCutcheon.

Sissie was an angel here on earth and has joined the band of angels in heaven. She will be missed by all her friends and her immediate and extended family.
