The family will hold a private committal service at a later time in New York. Cremation was under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood, Arkansas.
She is survived by her son, Steven Wood of Fort Smith, sixteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Irvin Wood, her daughter, Lora Wayman and a brother, Richard Hahn.
