

Richard G. Hamby, 64, of Hackett, died Sunday, September 12, 2010 in his home. He was born March 15, 1946 in Fort Smith, was self-employed at Razorback Auto, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by is grandparents, Ewen and Viola Hamby, and his father and step-mother, Richard E. Hamby and Mary Hamby.
Richard is survived by his wife, Deborah Lenik Hamby; his mother, Earlene Hammock of Van Buren; three sons, Bobby Don Hamby, Ricky Eugene Hamby and Shawn Michael Lenik, all of Hackett; two sisters, Terrie Mackle and Ginger Bowen, both of Van Buren, and two grandchildren, Jennifer Slavens and Dustin Hamby, both of Bonanza.
Richard had many family and friends who were dear to him: Walter Lenik, Laverne Justice, Sandra Atkins, Roger Dale Hamby, Jackie West, Ron and Suzanne Carney, Wayne and Patty Carney, Greg Pierce, James Hickman, Rebecca Peters, Rhonda and Rick Yother, Bo and Nancy Lamproe, Dennis Horn, Arthur and Cindy Cooper, Randy and Suzie Luther, Kim Mitchell and Lee King, Jerry Paul Meadows, Gary Shrum, Tim Shrum, Burel Lamproe, Kenny Harmon, Earnie and Debbie Hope, Chester Johnson, Red and Marilyn Parker, Rodney McKee, Jesse Yother, and Annie Davis.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 15 at Old Union Cemetery in Hackett under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
Pallbearers will be Terrie Mackle, Ginger Bowen, Jennifer Slavens, Rhonda Yother, Becky Peters, and Kim Mitchell.
