Ricky W. Green, 43, of Fort Smith, went to be with his Lord and Savior October 29, 2011. Ricky served over twenty-three years in the United States Army, with fourteen years active duty and nine years in the reserves. He served as an airborne military policeman, serving in such campaigns as Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.
Ricky was a devoted husband and father, and is survived by his soul mate and wife of over twenty years, Kimberly; two sons, Andrew and Alexander; his parents Don and Hazel Green of Booneville; two brothers, Kenny and J.R. Green, and sister Susan.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 4 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, with burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
