

Ronald Pitchford of Hartford went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 17, 2010 at the age of 81 years. He was born in Hartford February 12, 1929 and lived there his entire life. He was a member of the Hartford First Baptist Church, a livestock dealer, and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Ronald was an avid Hartford Hustler fan and will be greatly missed by all.
Ronald was preceded in death by two sisters, Madeline (Bakey) Paxson and Francis Jones, and three brothers, James G., Leon, and John Pitchford.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the Hartford First Baptist Church with interment at Hartford Memorial Park under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by three daughters, Rhonda Kralicek and Alisia Scallions, both of Fort Smith and Nancy Mixon of Hartford, and their mother, Irene Pitchford of Fort Smith; and a fourth daughter, Katie Pitchford of Hartford; one sister, Mary Barnes of Burkburnett, TX; a brother, Wendell Pitchford of Hartford; four grandchildren, Randa Russel and her husband, Steven, Garrett and Kayla Mixon and McKale Scallions; and three great grandchildren, Kyler, Levi, and Allison Russell.
Pallbearers will be Harry Padgett, Bob Rosso, Carl Hoopengarner, Ted Pickle, Bud Glidewell, and Terry Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons and great grandsons.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
